UPCOMING PROJECTS:

  1. Lake Wilderness Speed Remedy Options: Per Gary Kennison, Infrastructure Maintenance Manager for the City of Maple Valley, King County will be applying the 25 MPH paint signage to the road the week of August 20th
  2. Golf course fence paint/repair: This item is currently On Hold as we await Columbia Hospitality’s Golf Course Proposal/City Council Decision
  3. Mailbox replacement: Quotes have been received; Mailboxes will be ordered; Installation to be determined – Sept 2018

COMPLETED PROJECTS:

NEIGHBORHOOD CAR PROWLER ALERT:

Over the past few weeks, our neighborhood has seen an increased number of cars being accessed with items stolen. The prowler(s) appear to be targeting unlocked vehicles. Remember to lock your vehicles and don’t leave valuables inside

ALLOWABLE SIGNAGE IN THE LAKE WILDERNESS HOA:

  • Political signs may be placed in resident’s yards 30 days before primary elections and 60 days before general elections
  • Political signs must be taken down the day after primary elections (unless the candidate has won and the general election is within 60 days from the primary election) and the day after the general election
  • For sale and for rent signs are allowed
  • Signs indicating a construction/renovation is in progress are allowed until the construction/renovation is complete and must be removed within 5 days after completion

***Any other signage must have the pre-approval of the HOA

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT:

The 35th Annual National Night Out held on August 7, 2018 was a huge success! A special thanks to Shirley Evans who did a tremendous job coordinating ☺

CITY COUNCIL MEETING:

As mentioned in the June-July Newsletter, the Parks and Rec department has been tasked to provide details of the available Bond funds and information regarding the second (not in use) well as a possible water source for future irrigation. To date, the City Council and the Parks and Rec Department have not revisited the Golf Course Proposal presented by Columbia Hospitality. LWHOA BOARD MEETING LOCATIONS:

As of the January 2018 HOA Board Meeting, the start time has changed to 6:00 p.m. HOA Board Meetings occur the 3rd Wednesday of each month except for June and December. The LWHOA meetings will now be held at the Lake Wilderness Lodge which is located at 22500 SE 248th St, Maple Valley, WA 98038 – down at the Lake Wilderness Park – Cedar and Rainer Conference Rooms.
