UPCOMING PROJECTS:

1) Neighborhood Speeding: The LWHOA Board has met with the City of Maple Valley to determine the implementation timeline for the “no cost” options of Painting the Speed Limit of 25 MPH on the Road, additional Speed Limit Signs, and the Short Term Installation of an Electronic Speed Sign. The Board will provide a timeline communication in the June newsletter

2) “No Posting” decals to be placed on most recently added mailboxes

RECENTLY COMPLETED PROJECTS:

BOARD MEMBER UPDATE:

We would like to thank Mike Klokow and John Porter for volunteering and dedicating their time and energy to the LWHOA. Thank you Mike and John! Having said that, we have two Board openings on the Lake Wilderness HOA

What does it take to be a volunteer on the Lake Wilderness HOA?

1) Attend monthly meetings – 3 rd Wednesday of each month from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., (No meetings June or December.)

2) Participate in Community events such as The National Night Out

3) Participate in e-mail correspondence when necessary

Lake Wilderness HOA Board Member terms are for 2 years. If you are interested in volunteering, please come to our next meeting; May 17, 2017

UPCOMING CITY COUNCIL AND PARKS & REC COMMISSION MEETING:

The What: City Council and P&R Commission Meeting (Open to the Public)

The Why: The intent of the May 15 th  meeting stems from the failed park bond in February and the need to consider what to do with City owned park properties that are slated to be developed and/or re-invested in, which includes the golf course property. Without bond proceeds to do several of these identified projects, the competition for limited City funding is the focus of the meeting on the 15 th

The When: May 15, 2017; from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Where: Lake Wilderness Lodge @ 22500 SE 248 th St

Take a Peek on our website at https://lwhoa.com for a history of the Lake Wilderness Community as well as Task Force Recommendations which originated in 2010. These
recommendations were used to determine fund appropriations for the Lake Wilderness Park and Golf Course. Both PowerPoint presentations were provided by the Parks and Rec Commission.

ANNUAL NEIGHBORHOOD GARAGE SALE:

Our annual neighborhood garage sale will be held on Saturday, 5/20/2017, from 8-4 p.m., withthe dumpsters being available on June 2nd , 2017

Dumpster Locations:

  • Two 20ft Dumpsters – Near the Lake Wilderness entrance (the same location as previous years)
  • Two 20ft Dumpsters – Across from the 14th Tee, next to the pond

GOLF COURSE ETIQUETTE:

Just a reminder that only Golf Course Patrons are allowed on the course. Please be considerate of the Lake Wilderness Golf Course as they are our neighbors too

CC&R’s:

If you are planning on making any home/landscaping additions, updates, or modifications, please refer to the LWHOA CC&R’s for guidance and then submit an Architectural Control Committee Application Form when applicable. This form can be found on the LWHOA website under “Forms”

LWHOA BOARD “NEW” MEETING LOCATION:

Please feel free to attend the monthly HOA Board Meetings, which occur the 3 rd Wednesday of each month at 5:15 p.m., except for June and December. The LWHOA meetings will now be held at the Lake Wilderness Lodge which is located at 22500 SE 248 th St, Maple Valley, WA 98038 – down at the Lake Wilderness Park – Cedar and Rainer Conference Rooms
